Marty Stuart was born on September 30, 1958, in Philadelphia, Mississippi. He started playing music from a young age and was already a guitar-playing prodigy by the time he was 12. Stuart moved to Nashville in his teenage years and started working as a guitarist in Johnny Cash’s backing band. In the early 1980s, he began his solo career and quickly gained popularity for his upbeat mix of country and rockabilly music. Stuart has released dozens of albums over the years and has won five Grammy Awards. He is also known for his extensive collection of country music memorabilia, which he has displayed in several museums. The 62-year-old still tours and performs today.
